Awale in Action

A Hospital That Changed Everything

This Hospital Is Saving Lives Every Day.
The Hussein Awale Hospital represents more than a building, it represents access to life-saving care for an entire community that once had none.

For years, families in this region faced long distances and limited options when it came to medical treatment. Mothers, children, and vulnerable individuals were often left without the care they urgently needed.
Today, that reality has changed.

With the opening of this hospital, critical healthcare is now within reach. Mothers can give birth safely. Children can receive treatment. Families no longer have to choose between distance and survival.
This wasn’t just a milestone, it was a turning point.
And it’s only the beginning.

Education Where There Was None

For many children in these communities, education was never an option. It was a privilege they simply didn’t have access to. Without schools, opportunities are limited before life even begins. We set out to change that. By building a school, we created a place where children can learn, grow, and begin to see a future beyond their circumstances. What was once uncertainty is now opportunity. Education is not just about learning. It’s about giving children a real chance at a different life. And that change starts here.

Supporting Families When They Need It Most

In communities affected by conflict and loss, many families are left without the basic necessities needed to survive. For them, everyday life becomes a struggle for food, clean water, and essential supplies. We step in where support is needed most. Each month, the Awale Foundation provides families with essential care packages including food, water, oil, clothing, blankets, and everyday necessities that restore stability and dignity.
This is more than aid. It’s relief in moments of hardship. It’s support for families rebuilding their lives. It’s a reminder that they are not alone. And with continued support, we can reach even more families in need.
